Kairosoft is well known for producing addictive management games for mobile devices. Their games like Game Dev Story and Dream House Days can keep Android and iOS users entertained for hours. This Japanese studio has released numerous management-style games following different stories, from running an apartment complex to a game development studio and more. Now, the company has released some even more good news.
Game Dev Story, one of the first and most popular games in the Kairosoft collection of management games, is coming to Steam. Most of the releases have been for mobile, with a few Windows ports available. However, this will be the first release on Steam. This will allow a whole range of players to try out the highly addictive game and see what they make of it.
While it may not boast the best graphics, with their pixelated artwork, and it’s quite apparent that the game wasn’t developed for desktop as it lacks some depth, the essence of what makes these games great is still intact. The game keeps its crunchy numbers and heart, which attracts players to the franchise in the first place.
So far, it’s just Game Dev Story being released on Steam, but we’re hoping they’ll also start adding more of the already translated-to-English games, such as Mega Mall Story and Dream Home Days, after a warm reception, to the gaming platform as well. Maybe this will also urge the developers to start translating more of the games.
